CNGS Engineering Company has completed all onshore scope of construction and installation works and loaded out Topsides of Ice Resistant Offshore Platform for its further transportation and installation in the Caspian Sea Field
In the end of March 2022, "CNGS Engineering" LLC carried out skidding of V.I. Grayfer field Ice-Resistant Fixed Platform Topside (IRP TS) onto transportation & installation barge "Yuri Kuvykin". The weight of the largest IRP installation module is approximately 9300 tons. Module construction readiness during load-out is 100%. Prior to IRP TS towing to the sea, preliminary commissioning and acceptance tests of the facility systems will be carried out. Platform construction completion works and handover for operation will be completed after IRP TS installation onto substructures and integration of all design elements of offshore field development, as a whole system, before the end of 2022. Operations on IRP TS installation onto substructures are scheduled for July 2022.
A unique solution used in V.I. Grayfer field development, in comparison with previous solutions used in the development of other LUKOIL fields in the Caspian Sea, is assembly, load-out and subsequent offshore installation of fully assembled Topside, including drilling module with derrick installed on Topside, which will allow substantially expedite offshore commissioning works, facility takeover for operation and commencement of drilling. To implement the solution, CNGS Engineering fabricated and outfitted the transportation & installation barge with additional buoyancy pontoons to avoid excessive barge draft when transporting the transportation & installation barge with IRP TS along the Volga-Caspian Canal.
